Teslin is a synthetic material preferred for ID Card production and many other uses. Teslin is a very flexible material that is waterproof and should be laminated to produce finished ID Cards. We have Butterfly Laminating Pouches that when combined with Teslin inserts will make a long lasting borderless ID Card, as the laminating bond between laminates and Teslin is superior to other card constructions. Use a high quality laminator for best results. Laminators can be found on this site at Laminators. Laminated Teslin Cards are longer lasting than PVC cards and the cost of the equipment to produce Teslin cards is substantially less than the cost to produce PVC cards. It does take longer to produce laminated Teslin cards than it does to produce PVC cards but the cost per card can be less using Teslin and Butterfly Pouches. With PVC Cards the equipment is single use and is for card production only. With Teslin cards the printer and laminator can be utilized for other purposes.

Types of Teslin:

Laser Teslin SP-1000 (10 mils thick) Used for Laser printing, litho printing, and for Epson Inkjet Printers that use DuraBrite or UltraBrite inks.

Inkjet Teslin IJ-1000WP (10 mils thick) Used for Inkjet Printing. If you have one of the Epson printers using DuraBrite or UltraBrite inks, you can use either type of the Teslin. This product, Teslin IJ-1000WP, works best with inkjet printers that use dye based inks and it prints on both sides equally well.
